Las Vegas Bound!
I’m off to TODCon — this one really snuck up on me! — and it’s in Vegas this year, so I’m looking forward to the bright lights. I’ll be presenting two sessions: “ActionScript 3.0 for the Non-Hardcore Programmer” and “ActionScript for Flash Sound.” I spent a couple hours today recording some fun audio files for the samples. This conference is sure to be a blast! If I can, I’ll write a few notes from the road.

Man, it was great! Vegas … it’s pretty wild! The strip is always lit up — always. The food was great, the sites were eye-catching (saw a Cirque du Soleil show), and TODCon itself was terrific. I had a blast meeting a bunch of my Community MX colleagues, including Tom. Everyone was just the way I expected, and for the most part we chatted and hung out as if we’d all known each other for years.
My sessions went well. For the first one, Tom sat in the back and heckled me, which was great … it was clear to everyone we were buds, and it really set the tone the way I like it: informative, but fun. I did the same in his After Affects/Flash session.
